Sonya is an adult, spayed female cat, probably born 2014 or early 2015. She's quite a character - nice, but strong-willed...we can't make Sonya do anything. She tells US how things are going to run in her room and she usually gets her way (she's in a room with a bunch of males who won't challenge her and Maddy, who just doesn't care!). She might be a great friend for a low-key adult cat, a kitten who needs discipline, or maybe as an only cat. She will probably try to be bossy with dogs.
Sonya likes to sneak out and explore the shelter and she's figured out how to bide her time until we are trying to get in the door with a large litter box or armful of beds and can't maneuver quickly enough to stop her. She's a very smart cat! Sonya would like to find a home with lots of places to explore and people who will spend plenty of time playing with her.
Update: Sonya is trying out the room service at our satellite adoption location at Natural Pet Center, 3037 13th Ave South, Fargo. You can visit her during their hours of operation, M-F 9am-8pm, Sat 9am-6pm, and Sun noon-5pm. They have lots of delicious food and creative toys for pets so come in to do some shopping and stay to play with the kitties.
