Wizard's Story...
Wizard #16-290. Arrived 6/16/16 at 3 years old.
Wizard was found hiding under the bushes in the front of the shelter. He was a mess! His fur was overgrown, and he was petrified. It took several days before staff could safely get the leash on him and even a few more before he could be picked up. Now Wiz stands proud like a little dog should and he is accepting of new friends after they have spent a little time with him. Wizard would do best in a home without kids and where there is little foot traffic in and out. He would love to be a couch companion and be spoiled. Wizard will need time to adjust to new situations and time to adjust to new people, but he will be a perfect companion for the perfect adopter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wizard, a West Babylon Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in West Babylon, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in West Babylon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Babylon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Babylon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Babylon paves the way for another one to be saved.
