Rosie's Story...
Hello there! My name is Rosie, and I am a true sweetheart of a blonde Lhasa Apso mix. Do I have an adorable face with my big brown eyes, or what?
I am in somewhat of a pickle, to be honest. I was found wandering the streets as a stray and couldn't be traced back to my owners because I was not microchipped. But that's okay because I am in better hands in my Buster's Friends foster home than with my previous owner. You see, they didn't take very good care of me.
I do have a few issues but nothing that stops me from being sweet and lovable, happy and healthy. I have cataracts, and I am pretty much blind in one eye. My teeth were a mess - I feel a lot better after I had 7 pulled. I have a blocked tear duct, but daily drops take care of that. I am a senior "dogizen" in that I was born in about 2003, but I still have a big heart to shower someone with love and cuddles.
If you can find it in your soul to give me a home, it would be wonderful! All I need is love and canned food, but I promise to give so much more back that you will never regret that you adopted me.
Rosie is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $150, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Rosie, and we can arrange for you to meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Houston Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Houston, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
