My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Robbins (better known as Robbie) and I am a 1 year old tri-color beagle boy. I am 15“ high from the top of my back to the floor and I weigh approx. 40 lbs.
When I arrived at my foster home I was very nervous and all I wanted to do was get out the back door (I didn’t feel like I belonged). It didn’t take long before I settled in and made myself at home. I was very itchy at first but am currently being treated for a skin infection and am doing much better.
My first interaction with a cage was interesting as I was able to pop the front part of the cage off and escape. Someone is smart and I am unable to do that anymore. I still don’t like a cage and I howl/bark when I am in one (my current neighbors don’t mind). I like my cage for privacy when I am tired as long as you don’t shut the door.
I have a fenced in yard that I really like to run around in and so far have not escaped; I am not a digger. I was diagnosed with pigmentary keratitis in my right eye but it does not stop me from chasing bunny rabbits. It is unknown how long I have had this but it leaves my eye with patches of blue and the vet is unsure if I can see much out of it.
For only being 1 year old my family thinks I am a pretty mellow, little boy. I like to go for walks (especially for a puppy cone) but could use some training as I go back and forth a lot and am scared of cars when they drive by. I have shredded some tissue paper and newspaper but do not chew on furniture. However, I might steal your flip flop or undergarments. You’ll probably find anything that is missing in my cage.
I am potty trained as long as nobody is shooting off fireworks.
I traveled all the way from Wisconsin and did really well in the car so I will be glad to join you on any adventures. I am food driven and will counter surf for food that is within my reach. I will get down if you say “no” but will probably try again. My foster mom has tried to get me to sit in the chair with her but I prefer to lie in bed with her. She says I’m not really a snuggler but I am definitely willing to keep her company.
I have made friends with a husky and a golden retriever with no issues. I am fine with little kids except they will get a lot of kisses as I am a licker. I am just learning how to play with toys and will fetch a toy but not play tug with it yet.
I hope I have given you enough information to realize that I would be the perfect little boy for you or your family.
P.S. I have been told by many that I am very handsome which you can see by my pictures. Tail wags and KISSES!!
