My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

GDR is pleased to present Pico. Pico is a handsome 8 year old, tiny 9 pound boy.

Pico is a sweet and loving boy who gets along well with other dogs and likes respectful children over the age of 7 years. He does not like cats and should not be in a home with kitties.

Pico would do best in a home with a secure yard where he could run and play. He loves to dig so any fence needs to be secure and he needs supervision when he plays outside.

Pico is crate trained, leash trained and is used to a doggy door in his loving foster home in Louisiana. He would like a home where he doesn’t have to spend long hours alone.

Pico is housetrained, and like all dachshunds, need sto be encouraged to go outside to potty on a regular basis. Like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in his environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important.

This sweet loving boy is looking for his happy home where he can be loved and give love! Are you the lucky one to open your heart to him?
