My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Landry was abandoned in a rough part of town. He is approx 2 yrs old and 11 lbs. This sweet dog was was just so dirty, with mange that we did not know what color he was. He has been treated, and we had him trimmed down, and now his coat is finally starting to grow back. In a few months, he will be a beautiful dog once again. He looks like a poodle mix and is just the nicest dog. He loves being with people and gets along great with the other dogs. He loves to eat and loves his treats. He is not a dog that chases and plays tag like some of his buddies, but he is more of gentleman and would prefer sitting on his doggie bed or going for walks. He does well on a leash and seems to be quite well house trained. He is a mixed breed and not hypo allergenic or good for anyone with allergies.. He is going to make a great companion.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. .

Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law adds an additional cost of $125.
