Meet Wolverine. This Sweet little baby is one of 6 siblings who were left in a bucket under a tree at two weeks old. Bottle fed and closely nurtured, she is now 8 weeks old. She is strong and healthy, but only lacks one thing; a loving family. You can be that one person who never leaves her! Wolverine does not like to be restrained; rather, she is all “CAT”. When she wants love, she will lay with you for hours. I had surgery and she stayed next to me for four hours straight a s a companion. She has a distinct meow and is not afraid to express her opinion! Wolverine first got her name because when young did not understand how to retract her claws. Thank goodness we got over that hump! She is smaller than her siblings, but has a very distinct face, almost feminine. She has a small white area emerging on her lower belly. She is almost ready to be spayed and has begun her shot schedule. She is litter box trained, weaned and eating kitten chow. Soon she will be ready to find a forever home. I would love if some wonderful person would adopt her before she is spayed so that she can begin to bond with you. Will you please open your heart and home to this cuddly orphan? I promise that pictures do not do black kittens justice!!! They are adorable!!

About Animal Aid for Vermilion Area

About Our Rescue Group...

To date, Animal Aid for Vermilion Area, a non profit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization located in South Louisiana, has helped rescue thousands of animals.

We have worked through 5 natural disasters, including hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In the aftermath of Katrina, we helped unite people with their pets and saved cattle from drowning and starving.

We also helped pass the Pet Evacuation Bill that keeps service animals and pets from being left behind during a disaster.

We have been helping animals and their owners for over 25 years, and one of our goals is to rescue and rehome as many animals as we can from the local Animal Control facility, a high kill pound with no adoption program.
