Tiny little Abby is a ball of energy. She can run like the wind and retrieve a tennis ball almost faster than you can throw it. We think Abby was abused at some point in her young life. She is frightened around new people until she has a chance to get to know them. Altho she does not like to be picked up she will jump into your lap and stay there happily for a long time. She shows her fear aggression by nipping at fingers. She needs someone who is familiar with Chihuahuas, and who has the knowledge that it will take patience for Abby and her owner to get to know each other and love each other. She is a very loving dog once she gets to know you. Her adopter has to be willing to take the time to win her trust. If you would like to meet Abby and learn about our foster to adopt program, come by the shelter or call Anne at 678-571-8675.
Abby's adoption is at no cost to an approved adopter. Abby has been spayed, disease tested (dogs testing positive for heartworms are treated; however, we do not add that charge to our adoption fee), given age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and is up to date with flea/tick & heartworm prevention. A 24Petwatch microchip will be listed in the adopter’s name and the adopter will receive 30 days of 24PetWatch pet insurance.
