My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Micah! This sweet 6 year old girl came into rescue very over weight AND with heartworms. To find that ideal Iggy figure, Micah needed to lose 6 – 8 lbs. With daily walks and reduced quantity of food, Micah was making great strides losing weight. She LOVED her walks. Then it came time to get rid of those nasty heartworms and the walks had to come to an end as she began her 2 month treatment. Slowly but surely she continues to lose weight but not as quickly. To be at an ideal weight Micah needs to still lose 3 to 5 lbs. She is a pretty girl now, but she will be stunning once she loses the rest of the weight. Her foster mom reports that Micah loves to give kisses and jump in a lap if there is one available. She can be quite the social buttery fly, especially if there are treats involved. She does great in her crate and at night she will cover herself up with a blanket if she gets cold. Got to love an Iggy that knows how to keep themselves warm! Micah will make a great addition to the right family and will be ready to start meeting approved adoption applicants in early August.
