My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Sassy and I’ll make this pretty quick because I like to keep busy! This big smile is now permanently on my face, but I wasn’t always this happy. Before I was found by some rescue angels in Tijuana, Mexico, I wasn’t feeling the best, food was hard to find, and people weren’t very nice to me. Lucky for me, I was given a passport to freedom and all of that has changed! I’m now healthy, well-fed, and ready to give all kinds of love to my forever home. I’m about 18 months old and since we don’t know my mom and dad, they guess I’m a Weimaraner, Hound mix, with maybe a little Bulldog in there as well. I’m a big, 50 lb puppy, with lots of energy, so I’ll do best in a home with a strong pack leader and older children. I’m not good with cats, but with a proper introduction, I do well with other playful dogs! I’m house trained, crate trained, and working hard on my basic manners, but it’s hard to focus when it’s so fun to be busy and playing! My family will need to understand that training will be an important component to my success and with a little work, I promise that I will make someone the most amazing walking, jogging, or hiking buddy ever! I also love to play fetch and I don’t like to brag, but I almost have a 90 percent ball return rate! ;) I’m spayed, micro-chipped, up to date on all my vaccines, and my adoption fee is $250.00.
