Popeye's Story...
Popeye was found laying in the street with his eyes sealed shut from infection scared and ready to die. Lucky for him a nice lady saw him and immediately pulled over and scooped him up and rushed him to the vet. She paid to get him rehydrated and medicine for his eyes. He immediately started purring and just laid in her arms and slept soundly knowing he was safe. The lady who found him named him Popeye because she felt lucky to be in the right place at the right time and knew a foster who would take him and nurse him back to health and find the perfect home for him. He is a sweet boy who loves to explore and play with his foster brothers and sisters. He would really love a home with someone who wants to love on him and play with him and a playmate would seal the deal.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Popeye, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
