Facts about Dina

  • Breed: Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
**UPDATE: Dina is doing great. She's come out of her shell and she is very sweet and playful. She loves adults once she gets to know them but is terrified of kids, she'd do best in an adult only home.

UPDATE: Dina is proving to also be respectful of cats. She's doing a lot better with kids (we still think she prefers kids over about age 6) she is timid upon first meeting new people but she warms up faster each time and seems pretty comfortable with most. She is a gem on leash and in the car. House and crate trained. Has started to enjoy other dogs though prefers more mellow friendly but respectful dogs.
She is going to make someone very happy when she finds her forever. She needs rescue or adoption urgently.

**UPDATE: She's doing better with some kids. She's weary but has grown to adore an 11 yr old volunteer who is working very hard with her. She's also doing well with other dogs, unsure at first but warming up faster each time. She's going to be a great dog for anyone willing to work with her.

**UPDATE: In an effort to spare lives she is in a very temporary foster. She can not stay this is just us hoping a hero emerges this week. If interested in meeting Dina message the page so we can set up an appointment.

I was picked up as a stray, and am quite scared in this environment. I need time to trust humans again. I may have recently had pups but shelter personnel are not sure.

Intake Date: 7/20/16 Available: 7/26/16

About California City Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

The California City Animal Shelter does not get much exposure and because it is in a rural area, walk-ins are rare. For the past few years, a very small handful of volunteers have teamed up with the shelter/animal control personnel to help keep the facility clean, get animals seen via various social media sites and
transport.
