Captain Jack's Story...
Arg, ahoy there matie. My name is Captain Jack Sparrow and I am nothing like the movie character. I am more like The Dread Pirate Roberts who is happy to leave the old vagabond life behind. I am a handsome 8 year old kitty and I'm so happy that I was rescued from the shelter, because now I can finally relax and enjoy my life!

I enjoy lounging around a home, I enjoy kitty friends as well as dog friends. I like hanging out with other fur friends and receive pets and scratches on my head, ears, even my belly once in a while. I spend my day looking out the window and making biscuits on my foster human. She likes my purring and cuddling and she always tells me what an amazing boy I am! I am one of the coolest cats you'll ever meet, and I can't wait to find my forever companion.

You can fill out an application for me here: http://forrescue.net/cat-application/. I am fostered in Huntsville, AL, but I am available for adoption in your area. Once we receive your application my foster mom will be in touch ASAP! I am neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/LEUK negative, and current on flea preventative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Captain Jack, a Knoxville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
