Facts about Stella

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Or Chocolate
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 31808665
  • Hair: Unknown
Brown ticked tabby, short hair, female, born approx. 8/1/14, #12003

Stella was found lying by the side of the road, apparently the victim of a hit and run. She was scooped up and taken to an emergency vet. From there she was transferred to a local shelter where she quickly became a staff favorite. Stella suffered a fractured tooth, fractured tail, trauma to her jaw, and deficits to both back legs. Upon arrival at the shelter she was unable to walk. After about a week at the shelter she was able to move her tail and walk and continued to improve each day. It was determined that she would have a good quality of life, so at that time The Rescue House took her from the shelter. She had her fractured tooth removed but radiographs determined that no further surgery would be helpful. She will always walk with an unusual gait but gets around just fine and is experiencing no pain.

Stella is a very sweet and gentle girl. She enjoys attention from people, likes having her face and chin rubbed, and will softly purr to express her contentment. Stella loves her wet food but doesn't seem to care much for dry food.

Stella will get along with other cats though she will most likely never become friends with them. She is fine with children of all ages. She does not care for dogs at all.

Stella is a survivor, and she is making the most of her second chance at life. Will you give her the forever home where she can charm you?
