From the Foster Animal:
Hi my name is Harley. I was found as a stray and am believed to be about 2 years old. I think I am a Jack Russell Husky mix. I have lots of energy to run and play. I love fetch; tug-o-war, squeaky toys, and long walks. I am crate trained, although my foster mom spoils me and gives me a treat when I have to go in it, house broke, know some simple commands like sit, lay down, get down. I am working on coming when called. I love walks with my backpack,it makes me feel like I am doing something special. I use a gentle lead for walks to keep me focused. Considering I am part Husky pinch collars and choke collars just make me pull harder and I hurt myself.

I love kids of all ages but the kids 5 and older are the best because they can play tug-o-war better. I am great at sleeping in my crate but prefer to sleep at the end of my foster mom’s bed.

I have a foster brother and sister who are pitbulls and we get along great. I don’t really like cats or squirrels.

I have allergies to grain so I will need a special diet of grain free foods. I prefer fish based ones over the turkey, chicken, lamb based ones.

I am looking for a “furever” family with lots of energy and time for walks or runs. Kids, activities, commotion are great for my energy level.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Process:

1. Search adoptable animals and fill out the application when you find one you want to meet.

2. Adoption coordinator will review application and check vet/personal references.

3. Foster schedules a “meet and greet.” This could take place at an adoption event, public place or foster's home.

4. If foster and adopter agree it’s a good fit, then an adoption home visit will be scheduled.

5. After home visit is approved, payment and adoption contract will be completed.

6. Once payment, adoption contract and age appropriate vetting are complete, the new owners can pick up their pet!

All dogs/cats are fully vetted through our partner clinics and will not be adopted out prior to being spayed/neutered*, microchipped**, vaccinated & tested, as age appropriate up to the day the adoption contract is signed and payment is made. All animals are giving wormer and heartworm preventative (species and age specific) while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable.

Adoption Fees are based on the animal's species, age, health and length in rescue. Their fee will be listed in their descriptions.

*Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old to be spayed/neutered before adoption. Kittens must be at least 8 weeks old and at least 2 pounds to be spayed/neutered before adoption.
**We do not microchip cats since we require them to be indoors.
