Eddy's Story...
Meet Eddy and Lucy! This adorable 3 yr old duo have been together since birth. Eddy is the tuxedo boy, and Lucy is the tabby and white girl. They are looking for a new home due to unfortunate circumstances, as the young child in their home has serious allergies. As for their personalities, Eddy loves attention! He is quick to warm up to people and loves affection - once you start petting, he'll keep asking for more. :) Lucy is a bit more shy and mysterious. She is calm and quiet and also loves to be snuggled once she gets to know you. Both cats are microchipped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated...and they're ready to woo you! Please email adopt@rescuzillanyc.org to meet them, or complete an application at www.rescuzillanyc.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eddy, a NEW YORK Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in NEW YORK, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in NEW YORK.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in NEW YORK already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a NEW YORK breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in NEW YORK paves the way for another one to be saved.
