Bailey is a four year old ACD mix and weighs a little over 50 lbs. She is super sweet, loves to play, and loves to just lay around and stay close to her foster mommy, too!
Bailey was rescued from a local shelter, and for the first day was a little scared, but she came around in just a couple of days. She’s learned to play and share with her foster sister and that her foster brother (a long-haired Chihuahua) is the man of the house.
She’s always been gentle with people and her foster siblings, even though she’s way bigger than they are! She’s not the least bit pushy at meal time, either with her foster siblings or parents. She plays with toys very well, and loves to go fetch tennis balls. The squeaky ones are her favorite! We’ve taken her camping with us, and she loved to go on hikes or even go running with her foster daddy, so I think she’d really enjoy doing that a lot more often.
She loves to run and play outside, or just wander around our property and explore all the sights and sounds. She came from a city home, so all this room has been a new experience for her, and she really has enjoyed it. She would love a home with a fenced in yard, or maybe a wireless fence, where she could just roam around. She’s tried to use our doggie door a few times, but it’s just too small for her. She just sits at the door patiently to come in or go out. She was trained by her previous family, and while we don’t know all the commands she’s learned, the ones we know she responds to very well.
Bailey is house trained. She is up to date on vaccinations (including lyme), current on heart worm and flea and tick preventatives. She is spayed and microchipped.
Bailey is currently being fostered in Ruckersville (near Charlottesville),VA.
