Kona is a beautiful dog that hasn't found her perfect home.  We wish she could just be a dog having fun outside with fewer visitors and less chaos.  She is happy spending so much of the day outside - even in the rain!  She's house broken, doesn't chew and good on a leash.  She has done well with training.  She responds to sit, wait, leave it, touch, settle.  Kona loves frisbees, balls and chew toys.  She loves fetching and climbs/jumps well.

Kona is very good with our three children but gets very upset when other kids come in.  She gets very agitated with too much noise, commotion and chaos from rowdy kids.  She seems to be getting more aggressive the more people in and out of the house.  Kona has nipped me when things got too chaotic.

She would be best in a home with no kids or teens and older.  I think Kona would love to be with no kids so life would be calm.

Please contact for more information on Kona.

About All Shepherd Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of German Shepherd lovers who help homeless German Shepherds that are in dire straits and need rescue.

We rescue dogs from kill shelters or other situations where the dogs' life is in danger. We fully vet our dogs and our wonderful fosters care for our dogs until their "forever home" is found!

We are a dating service for dogs, helping potential adopters find the perfect match for their families. We will work with you tirelessly until we find the perfect fit for your family!

We make a lifetime commitment to every dog and every adopter and we are there to answer questions and help with the transition to your home.

Why do we do it? We LOVE dogs , especially German Shepherds, and it breaks our hearts that so many adoptable GSD's never make it out of shelters.

We are an all volunteer group and are always looking for new volunteers to help us in our mission to save dogs!

FOSTERS, we need YOU!!!!

We need fosters to provide a safe haven while a dog is waiting for his/her forever home! If you think you cannot foster because you couldn't let your foster dog leave, talk to us!! While many of us have adopted one or more of our fosters ( we call it Failing Fostering 101 !!!) we can tell you how wonderful it is to see your foster become a beloved addition to a new family.............and opens up a space to save another dog on death row!

If you have any questions at all about fostering please give us a shout and we are happy to answer all questions.

If you cannot foster, we always need volunteers to help host events, do fundraising and PR .

And , of course, we always need donations to pay the vets who keep our dogs healthy and the trainers who help us with doggie manners!

Donations are always welcome and very much appreciated!

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our dogs are in foster homes and are seen by appointment for approved adopters.

Our dogs also attend many dog meet and greet events at Adoption Events, Petsmart and Petco and other venues.

Check our Events Listing on our website: for an updated listing of where we will be!

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application, personal and vet references and a home visit done by an All Shepherd Rescue volunteer.
Our application fee is $250.
Fencing is not always required subject to a satisfactory Home Visit.
