Buckley's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and not good with dogs.

Buckley's Story...
We rescued this gem of a dog from a high kill shelter in north Georgia. Most dogs who've been at animal control, then in two weeks quarantine at our shelter go nuts when they're led out for the first time for their pictures. This guy was a real gentleman. Very poised. Calm, cool and collected. He's one of those dogs who makes me wish I didn't already have two dogs at home and a busy schedule!

Buckley is SO smart and already knows "sit" and "down" and you don't even have to say those commands, just point! We're sure he has even more tricks up his sleeve that we haven't seen yet. He obviously used to be somebody's fur kid. We don't have his history but know he's healthy and walks well on a leash and is alert and intelligent.

He's food aggressive around other dogs so needs to be the only dog in the household.

Buckley is 45 lbs and was born around January of 2012.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buckley, a Marietta Border Collie/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Cattle Dog for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Border Collie/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Border Collie/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
