Winston Churchill-Adopted!'s Story...
Winston is a beautiful, purebred tricolor Japanese Chin who was surrendered to our rescue, along with his best friend Saki, because their owner's work situation changed drastically and she was no longer able to care for them. Both boys are very sweet and quiet, with gentle dispositions, and they love to be brushed. They are fascinated with their foster mom's large yard, and are getting along well with the other dogs in their foster home. We think they'd do fine with children and cats, due to their calm, gentle dispositions. Winston and Saki can go to the same home together, but would also do well going to separate, perfect FurEver homes. Birth date 8/15/05

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston Churchill-Adopted!, a Detroit Japanese Chin dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Japanese Chin for sale in Detroit, or seeking a Japanese Chin dog from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Japanese Chin breeders who help with Japanese Chin rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
