Here's what the humans have to say about me:
1 year old Skipper is one enthusiastic young guy, he loves everything! He loves other dogs, cats, people, going for a walk or run, you name it! He has good leash manners and knows some commands (shake, stay, come, crawl and agility - though he wants to go under the bar instead of jump over it). Skipper enjoys petting, he is sweet and loving and acts like a puppy. Skipper does guard his food and bones, so a home with no small children would be best for this young dog. As a member of the Lonely Hearts club, his adoption fee is $25. A $5 license fee may also apply for Georgetown residents.
The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates).
Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*.
The adoption fee includes:
spaying/neutering
vaccinations (appropriate to species and age)
heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age)
de-worming medication
microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly)
There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown.
