Important Note

Daisy is best friends with Scooter. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Hi, my name is Daisy. I am approximately two years old and I am a beautiful silver tabby. I was rescued off the streets with a badly fractured right front leg. My rescuers took me to the vet at Toronto Humane Society and they could not fix my leg and had to amputate it. I am doing extremely well and walking and running like I have all four!

I am in a foster home (my rescuers) right now and trying to get used to being around people, as I lived outside since I was born, but it is not easy as I was not able to trust them when I lived outside. I have had my first shots and been spayed.

If you adopt me please be patient with me while I hide from you, maybe hiss at you and try to learn how to be an inside cat. I cannot go outside as I cannot run fast enough to get away from anyone or anything who wants to harm me.

Please adopt me and help me get used to being loved unconditionally.. and I promised I will return that love when I learn how.

Daisy is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service. If you need more info or would like to adopt please contact Lynn directly: boblynrain@rogers.com. Thank you!

About Toronto Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Toronto Cat Rescue is a registered, no-kill charity run by volunteers.

Our mission is to rescue and find homes for abandoned, sick or injured cats from situations of abuse, neglect or imminent euthanasia.

Our vision is for Toronto to be a city in which no adoptable cat is killed and rescue organizations such as Toronto Cat Rescue are no longer needed.

Our registered charity number: 889-198-727-RR-0001

Our Adoption Process...

Decided on the cat or kitten you would like to adopt? Please call 416-538-8592, or email adopt@torontocatrescue.ca.

An adoption counsellor will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a "purr-fect" fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.

You will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your cat home with you in a safe carrying case.

Adoption fee is $175 per cat. This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. It includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!

Note:

1. ALL senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopters choice, vs. our standard adoption fee of $175.

2. Our adoption fee for a bonded pair is $100 per cat, vs. $175 per cat.
