Patti(Ashlynn)'s Story...
Gorgeous girl Patti is a real sweetheart. She is a pretty, petite little thing -- her lovely locks make her appear a little bigger than she really is. She has what looks to be a scratch injury in one eye that has been looked at by a veterinarian; she doesn't seem affected by it -- she is agile, coordinated and playful. Loves rolling around on the floor to show you just how excited she is that you've come to visit and dote on her. Call 913-684-4939/1669 or email ftleavenworthstrayfacility@gmail.com.

UPDATE: Patti is now back at the facility after spending some time in a home environment. Drop by to meet her! (Please check hours on main page or call/email to make sure the facility is open when you would like to visit. Thanks!)

Featured as the Pet of the Week in the Oct. 6, 2016, issue of the Fort Leavenworth Lamp.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patti(Ashlynn), a Fort Leavenworth Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Fort Leavenworth, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Fort Leavenworth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Leavenworth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Leavenworth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Leavenworth paves the way for another one to be saved.
