A - LILA's Story...
Hi, there! My name is Lila. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya!

Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK?

I am a German Shepherd/Collie mix girl about 1.5 years old and I weigh 45 pounds. I will have had all of my shots and be spayed before I go to my new home with YOU! Those funny-looking 2-legged creatures said I’d also be microchipped – whatever THAT is. At any rate, I will be fully vetted. Is that anything close to petted? I love to be petted!

Wanna hear some more good stuff about me? OK, here goes. I am friendly with people and other dogs. At first, I’m sort of standoffish. You know how us pretty girls are! The more I get acquainted with folks, the easier it is each time I meet someone new. I’m gettin’ pretty close to perfect. OK, maybe I’m exaggerating just a little. I am super sweet, my foster tells everyone. I know she’s telling the truth because they all love on me and smile and speak very sweetly to me. So, it must be true! AND, I’ve had no accidents in the house. I’ve learned the doggie door. And, I’m very sweet and polite. How ‘bout that, huh? I’m still learning some commands but they’re so easy.

My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.) Watch this segment from the TODAY show:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

A - LILA, a Ann Arbor Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie for sale in Ann Arbor, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie dog from a breeder in Ann Arbor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ann Arbor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ann Arbor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ann Arbor paves the way for another one to be saved.
