Lefty's Story...
Please contact Loretta ( for more information about this pet.

We got a call from a family member of a long time client.. Due to health problems this owner can no longer care for his kitty.

Last time we saw 'lefty' he was about 12 months old, un-neutered and hit by a car. His back left leg was broken in several places. After a long surgery and several pins later, Lefty was back to normal except for a slight limp in his back left leg.  Hence, the name Lefty. Lefty had been doing well, as far as we knew. Unfortunately his owner has had health problems over the years and Lefty and several of his fur friends had to be removed due to their home being un-livable and the owner is no longer aloud to care for animals.

This situation was described as 'this house looks like what you see on TV'.. We would like to give Lefty a second chance at a loving home. He is now 6 years old, walks with a little hitch due to his prior injury. But no health concerns. If you would like to help this guy out, please let us know by calling Sarah at Larkspur Cat Clinic at 602-548-1899.  Lefty is such a loving kitty and he'd love to meet you!  And, you would have the chance to give Lefty a chance at a good life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lefty, a Phoenix Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
