A - JOSH's Story...
Hi, there! My name is Josh. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya!

Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK?

Wanna know more about me? OK, here goes! I am a Scruffy Terrier mix. I am about 14 months old and I weigh 11 pounds. Thank goodness, I was saved because I didn’t know how to survive out on the streets by myself! Those funny-looking creatures, named humans, I think they are called, told me that they think that I am pretty darn cute. What do YOU think, huh?

Can you stand hearing more good stuff about me? I am a sweet and happy little boy. I have several housemates, some small like me, and some, larger and I get along with all of them. I love to play with my toys and all the other dogs. We chase each other around the yard. My legs aren’t too long now but I can still run pretty fast.

I learned to use a doggie door and I’m learning about crate-training but I’m not real keen on the crate just yet. Maybe I won’t have to learn a crate! That would be good! But, I CAN learn. I’m a smart dude.

Oh, how I would love to have my own home and some peeps to cuddle with and they could love me and take good care of me. That is my first dream! My second dream is all about treats and playing and romping with my new family. Ah, I can see it all now!

I will have ALL of my shots, be microchipped and be neutered (whatever THAT is) before I go to your house – Uh, again - - Let’s call it “our” house. OK?

My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $550 USD and includes my vetting, neutering, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.) Watch this segment from the TODAY show:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

A - JOSH, a Augusta Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Wirehaired Fox Terrier for sale in Augusta, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog from a breeder in Augusta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Augusta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Augusta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Wirehaired Fox Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Wirehaired Fox Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Augusta paves the way for another one to be saved.
