Piper's Story...
Piper was rescued from Harlan, Kentucky. She is a beautiful 6-9 month old Dingo/Lab mix. She almost looks like a little fox. The picture on this site is not of her (it's of a Dingo) but looks just like her. She is super sweet. She is about 30 pounds and I don't think she will get much bigger. She is phenomenal with kids and other dogs. I don't have any cats so I don't know how she is around them (I doubt there will be any problems). She walks great on a leash. She is completely house broken and crate trained. We are working on basic commands such as sit and give paw. She is up to date on vaccinations and will be spayed and microchipped prior to adoption. If you would like to meet and possibly adopt Piper please call Jill at 815-919-2587 or send an email to to request an adoption application. You can also go on our website and fill out an application and email it to us. Our website is . Her adoption fee of $200 covers all of her vetting and care. Please take sweet Piper home with you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piper, a Plainfield Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
