Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everyone! My name is Jack. The acc said I was mean and almost killed me because I could smell the death and fear of the thousands of paws that walked those halls .The truth is, I don't have a bad bone in my body. In fact, all I want is to love and be loved. Sadly, the family that dumped me at the shelter to be killed didn't feel this way about me. They allowed me to become obese and unhealthy. I should be approximately 30lbs and I came into the rescue weighing 49lbs. That is SO unhealthy for a dog my size.
I am a chi/ jrt mix, 3 years old, and ready to find my true forever home. I am a bit fearful, but this is because of the way I was treated in the past. I can live with other dogs but I'm better with a dog who is low energy. I I go into avoidance when I see them, so a laid back canine companion would be best. At least until I lose some more lb's and have more energy to play! I have been going for long walks every day and am already starting to drop some weight!
