Abigail's Story...
Meet our sweet diva Abigail. She is around 7 yrs old and a small terrier mix. Abigail was found as a stray and brought to CARA. She's undergone 3 surgeries involving cherry eye in both eyes and also had a hernia that required surgery. This sweet thing has been through it but has healed and is ready to find her new family. Abigail is very fond of her human friends but may require a slower introduction to other canines. Like most pups Abigail loves her soft bed and anyone who will giver her a treat. Come meet this little Diva at the shelter.

If you are interested in adopting this pet, please visit www.carams.org for information on our Adoption Process and to fill out an online adoption application.

Breed identification by visual means is unreliable for most dogs. We are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Each dog at CARA is an individual and we do our best to describe each animal based on personality, not by breed label.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abigail, a Jackson Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
