Some people call me Maurice–Whoo-Whoo! [Cue Steve Miller Band here] Hello, my name is Maurice, but you can call me Mo, Mao, or Chairman. I was rescued as a little kitten, and went to a loving home with my foster brother Clarence. I used to be shy & anxious, but in seven years I've gained confidence & outgrown this home. I spend lots of time looking out the window, dreaming of the great outdoors. I don't go outside, but would like a home where I could go out safely. I still like my pal, but would probably be better off as a solo cat. Let's face it, I want the humans all to myself!
I like to keep an eye on things, so you'll often see me lying in the hall, keeping track of everyone. I crave human companionship, so a house with adults and older children would be great. I love my humans, so I like to hang out nearby; I can’t take much stimulation, so brief petting, scratches under my chin, and tugs on back of my neck are best. You'll find I'm very gentle, I never bite or use my claws inappropriately. I'm what's known as a “bush dweller,” so I don’t climb or jump very high, but I do like to play and be chased!
I'm a handsome, dapper tuxedo cat with perfectly formed chin, bib, boots and hourglass stomach. You'll love my beautiful, fine, plushy coat. Some call me the Gangster of Love, but I know I'm the Master of Cute.
