Willy's Story...
Meet Willy
Available in the Midwest and in New England. Willy is a very handsome older gentleman. He is about 8 years old and such a good boy. Willy is very energetic for his age and loves playing with his foster mom's dogs. He is definitely no couch potato. He is good with everyone, human and canine, and he doesn't even chase the cats. This boy is great on a leash and LOVES to go for long walks. He is a smart boy too and knows the sit command, is good at recall, doesn't wander off and takes treats very gently. Willy likes nothing more than interacting with people and likes getting good boy hugs and just hanging out. He also enjoys the water too and will go hop in the pond with his canine foster siblings when they get the chance. Willy would make a wonderful companion. He is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and is micro-chipped. There is still a lot of love left in that great big heart, so if you think he might be a good companion for you, please go to our website,, complete an online application and indicate 'Willy' in the notes section. He is available in the Midwest and in New England.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willy, a Brattleboro Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
