My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Deja is about a year old and is full of energy! We met Deja at our local city pound and knew we had to get this stunning girl out of there. Her ears have been cropped so badly that there is not much left but she is still a gorgeous girl!

Deja would be best in an adult home or home with older children. She is very sweet but doesn’t realize how rough she can be at times. She lives with an 9 year old boy at her foster home but she is always supervised and corrected when around him. She craves attention and wants nothing more than to be by her human’s side. Even if that means laying on a rug while they are on the couch watching tv, she is perfectly content. She would make a great hiking, running or biking partner as this girl can run around her foster moms acre all day and loves it!

Deja has been introduced to dogs of all sizes but she plays very rough and often upsets the other dogs. She has been with a trainer for a month and showed no aggression towards anyone. She played with other dogs but is VERY rough and would do best as an only dog or in a home with a very experienced handler. She is leash and crate trained. She is a very focused dog.

This “pocket pittie” is about 35-40 pounds. She is about 2 years old. She knows “Sit” & “Kisses” in English & Spanish. If you are looking for a spunky sweet and sassy girl, then look no further!

Heartworms are very common in the strays found in the Houston area because they are transmitted by mosquitos, which are also very common. Unfortunately, Deja has heartworms, but has started her treatment to be cured of them within the year and her medications are included in her adoption.

**Deja is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and doing very well in her foster home. She is ready to find her family to complete her transformation. If our sweet girl sounds like a perfect match for your family, please email us at pawhuggers@gmail.com for more information.
