Daisy's Story...
Daisy is a 1 year old bull terrier who came from a home that neglected her, and then dumped her into a ditch on a country road. She had road rash on her back haunch, but it has thankfully healed, and she's put on some weight. We weighed her today, and she's up to 30 pounds. She's coming out of her shell, and now is acting like a puppy. When she gets love and attention, she'll jump and give love nips, so she needs to learn some manners. But she's a very smart girl. She's already learned some basic commands. She ignored the other dogs in the shelter, and is very interested in cats, although she hasn't shown any aggression at this point. She likes kids. We aren't sure at this point if she's housetrained. With some time, patience and attention, she's going to make someone a wonderful companion. We would prefer that she goes to someone who's familiar with this breed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Mount Ayr Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bull Terrier for sale in Mount Ayr, or seeking a Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Mount Ayr.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Ayr already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Ayr breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bull Terrier breeders who help with Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Ayr paves the way for another one to be saved.
