Facts about Lucky

  • Breed: Pomeranian/Corgi Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
This cute little Pomeranian mix showed up at the shelter with no owner information. He was very scared and the shelter staff said he was being nippy. Had the shelter been able to check inside his mouth, they would have noticed this little guy suffered from serious dental disease. After no owner came to redeem him, he was offered to rescues. Then after several days had gone by and no rescue took interest, he went on the shelter’s euthanasia list. The Pet Adoption Center of OC saw that a family offered to foster him and that’s when this little dog’s luck changed for the better. He was given the name “Lucky” by his foster family.

Lucky was rescued by The Pet Adoption Center of OC. He was taken directly to the veterinarian to get a complete health checkup, vaccinated, neutered, checked for “stiffness” noted by the shelter, and then had surgery to remove 29 rotted teeth! Our poor boy, wasn’t feeling so lucky after the vet visit, but he would soon recover, thanks to the wonderful care of his foster family.

Lucky is as sweet as can be and is ready to find his new forever home. His foster family describes him as happy-go-lucky, as he gets along with everyone. He is about six years old, and just needs someone to love.

About The Pet Adoption Center of Orange County

About Our Rescue Group...

The Pet Adoption Center of Orange County is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that develops and provides creative solutions to find safe, loving, permanent homes for displaced pets in our community.

We offer adoption services, as well as placement and referral services, to successfully match pets with highly compatible people and families. Through public education, we encourage humane pet care and responsible, long-term pet ownership. We bring together people with pets, and individuals with their community, to create the social change needed to achieve our goal of reducing shelter euthanasia rates and eliminating pet overpopulation.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting one of our available pets, please email us for a copy of our adoption application, or visit the adoption page of our website to download one. The PAC-OC requires a completed adoption application, a home check, and an adoption donation. The standard adoption donation is $300. This may vary depending on individual animals and circumstances, which will be outlined in the adoption contract.
