Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rocko is everything a family could ever want in a dog. He is playful, sweet, and will sit, stay, and lay down. His former family said he is an amazing, good with kids, house trained dog. Very house trained - he will reportedly go to the door and scratch when he needs to go out. For this reason he could probably be easily trained to let himself out a doggie door (into a fenced yard of course). They left him at the shelter on Aug. 3rd because -- they said they had no time for him and so he was left locked in his crate most of the time. They also said their financial situation had changed. Sounds like Rocko was the perfect dog; his family just couldn't have a dog anymore. He is 1.5 years old and weighs 55 pounds. Rocko is up to date with shots, neutered, and micro-chipped. He will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Rocko is in Run 848 and his ID is 587872. Bring his ID # to the shelter with you as often dogs are moved around to different runs as the shelter tries to make room for all the incoming animals. With the ID # they can look him up in the computer and find out if he is still at the shelter and in which run he is located.
When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
