I am Kyah, I am a pit mix approximately 4 years old and love to play! I get along with other dogs very well ( I am a regular at Camp Bow Wow ) but I am not a big fan for cats, I can be around them if you watch me but I will try to chase them if you are not looking. I am crate and house trained and have never destroyed anything. I love walks and play time but when that is over I really enjoy snuggling with my humans and foster brothers. I have a couple of food allergies that are very easy to control with commercial food and a very affordable pill. I am smart, I sit and wait for the signal to eat my food so if you want to you can teach me lots of other new things. I am fully vetted , micro chipped and on Heartworm prevention

If you are interested in adopting Kyha, please send us an email or submit an application through our website (www.carmensrescuesc.com). Our adoption process also includes a home visit, interview and a vet reference check. Please be sure that all of your current pets are up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm preventative, prior to submitting an application. We also require that applicants be homeowners due to the breed restrictions when renting.

About Carmen's Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Carmen’s Rescue is an approved 501(c)3 non-profit organization, located in Greenville / Simpsonville South Carolina. We are dedicated to the rescue of abandoned, abused and injured dogs. The prevention of cruelty to animals is our priority.
We work with committed volunteers, foster homes and local veterinarians. Once our rescue dogs are fully vetted, our goal is to place them in a loving, temporary foster home until we find them a well-matched, carefully screened, forever home.

Since March 2012 we have added a second branch to our rescue …..freeing dogs who have lived all of their lives on a chain.

We have educated people that this is not a life for a dog and offer to build kennels for their dog if the owner agrees to spay and neuter them

Our Adoption Process...

All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

We prefer adopters own their residence, but exceptions can be made. If you rent, we need poof of your landlord to confirm a dog is allowed.

Any current animals must be up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested annually and on heartworm preventative.

All current animals have to be spayed / neutered.

All adults in the home must be in agreement about adding a new dog to the household.

All Applications must be submitted online with our Adoption Application.

We will conduct a personal reference check and vet reference check when applicable. Please call your vet office and ask them to note in your file that they can release information to us.

Once your reference check is complete, we will schedule a home visit. We are not looking to inspect your home, we are looking to make sure it is a safe environment for the dog.

If both parties decide to move forward with the adoption you will be required to sign a contract.
