My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! Thank-you for clicking on my profile, I’d love to meet you. Let me tell you a little bit about adopting me.

My name is Kylee and I am a 3 year old spayed female Poodle mix, my foster mom says I might have a little Cocker Spaniel fur, who came to NBS Animal Rescue when my owner suddenly passed away. She loved me very much and took wonderful care of me...to be honest, I've been a bit lost and sad without her in my life. My foster mom and dad are doing everything they can to help me adjust to my new life and I'm slowly coming out of my shell. I know it will take a bit for me to fully move on, but the nice people at NBS Animal Rescue are taking great care of me and I know that they will help me find my fur-ever family who will love me and care for me just like my previous mom did.

I am a very sweet and loving little lady who has great house manners, know how to do my personal business outside, walk wonderfully on a leash, and I don't mind other dogs who are friendly and low energy. I'm not sure I've ever met a cat before...I hear they are really nice though. I love going for walks, exploring a fenced yard while my foster mom watches over me, and snuggling on the couch with people I trust. I like to sleep in bed with my people, and although I am a bit shy about meeting new people, I warm up quickly if people give me a minute to approach them on my own time and a tasty treat doesn't hurt either!

My ideal home is one that is calm and quiet with a loving person who will be home often, snuggle with me on the couch or back patio watching the world go by, going for short walks each day, and who is gentle and patient as I learn how to adjust to a new life. I would love a fenced yard to explore and play in, but I would be OK in a home that didn't have a fenced yard as long as my family promises to take me for at least two short walks each day and allow me to potty outside frequently. I am a sweet little lady who is looking for a calm and loving home - could it be with you??

My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. Not all of my friends here at NBS Animal Rescue have the same requirements, so if I’m not be the perfect fit for your family- be sure to check out my other doggy friends too! For me?

These are the things I fur-sure need in my fur-ever home!
- Family who is gone no longer than 5 hour periods.
- Calm and quiet home atmosphere.
- Children must be 14 years or older.
- Other dogs in the house must be friendly and mellow in energy.
- 100% fenced in yard preferred or a plan in place for daily dog walking / doggy dog care, etc explained on the application.

If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:

1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….

2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.

3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you’d like to meet me, please apply online and to become an approved adopter!

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and are ready to apply, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family just yet. However, would you please help by sharing my picture on Facebook, twitter or by email? I'm a great pup and need a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
