I haven’t been handled in quite a few years so I’m still scared of people. I can be very protective of my space. My foster mom thinks with some time and patience I’ll be able to learn to trust again. The cage I came into Rescue in was too small and it had rust on it. My grip strength and my wings are weak, but with my new roomy cage and new healthy diet I’ll get stronger. Thanks to the wonderful people at Florida Parrot Rescue, I received a beautiful cage and some new toys. My foster mom and dad are working on getting me on a good diet. Now I’m eating Higgin’s safflower mix and Higgin’s naturals. I haven’t decided who “my person” is yet. I do scream when someone approaches my cage, so please move slowly around me. I’m still very scared but, I’m slowly starting to trust. I don’t seem to mind the four-legged friends in the house, but please make sure we are always supervised if we are in the same room together. (We may seem like good buddies but dogs *are* predators.)
I’m looking forward to a forever home. Could that be with you? Please come meet me and let's find out!
While you are waiting to meet me, would you like to buy me something from my Amazon Wish list? I sure would appreciate it! Here is the link:
Thanks for stopping by!
