Copper Penny's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Copper Penny's Story...
Copper Penny is such a sweet, cuddly little girl! She is all of 7lbs of love and joy. She does not know that she is only 7lbs because she plays with other dogs that are much larger in size than she is. Penny needs a home with another playful dog so she will continue to have a playmate. I would not recommend her in a home with small/young children since she is so little and if dropped could easily injure her long back. Please contact Penne, her foster mom, at onecentpenne@aol.com for more information and an application.

All our dogs live in foster homes. Please contact the foster home email listed for more information and and an adoption application. Please note, our adoptions are not done on a "first come first serve" basis. We are looking for the best possible match for our dogs and reserve the right to select or refuse an application at our discretion. CAN is a 100% volunteer-based rescue and all our volunteers have jobs, families and dogs to take care of. Thank you for your patience and understanding if we don't get back to you immediately.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Copper Penny, a Ball Ground Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Ball Ground, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Ball Ground.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ball Ground already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ball Ground breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ball Ground paves the way for another one to be saved.
