Hi, there! My name is ADA. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya!

Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK?

Wanna hear more about me? OK, here goes! I am a Beagle/Shepherd mix. I wound up without any parents so I don’t know for sure. My wonderful fosters say that I am about 5 years old. I weigh about 37 pounds. Perfect, huh? I will have been spayed, microchipped and have all of my vaccines up-to-date before I leave to join you in my new home! I can’t wait!

I overhead my foster mom bragging on me. Know what she said? Well, she said that I am a sweetheart. Great, right? I’d like to add that I am easy-going and laid back. I am also a very loving girl. I surely would like it if you would love on me and cuddle and snuggle. What more could you ask for, huh?

Can you stand hearing more good stuff about me? I like to go on walks and just relax and get your slippers for you. Nah, I can’t really do that…..but maybe you’ll love me anyway. I hope so! I will make someone a good, really good, best friend and buddy. I love car rides and I yearn to be in a family that will care for me forever. Might that be YOU? I hope so. I love people so what do ya say?

My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $550 and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting for Special Pals, a 501c3 in Houston, TX.)

About A Better Life - Connecticut

About Our Rescue Group...

We rescue dogs from the streets of Houston, TX, vet them, recuperate them from health problems, bring them to full health and then work very hard to get them adopted out-of-state. Houston, TX has over ONE MILLION stray dogs. Thousands of perfectly healthy dogs, along with sick and dying dogs that are picked up, are euthanized every single day. Houston, TX is saturated with dogs. Everyone who WANTS a dog HAS a dog. We can only save lives by getting dogs out of our region. We have found the very best adopters in the Northeast and Northwest U. S. and Canada.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee is $450 for a dog being transported via truck transport (includes previous vetting, microchip, spay/neuter, travel health certificate and ground transport). OR $650 (includes all of the above plus a travel crate and airfare) to fly your dog to the nearest airport that (1) has a direct flight from Houston, TX and (2) can accommodate the size travel crate your dog would fly in. If there is no direct flight, then we do have to schedule flights with layovers. We only use United Airlines because of their PetSafe Program. They are the only airline equipped to fly dogs in year-round weather conditions. The dogs get the same air and heat as in the passenger cabin.
