Sweet Tomato! This pretty girl has been through a lot - heartworm treatment, major surgery, and a big transition from being a rural girl in Oklahoma to living in the big city! Tomato came to us from Oklahoma with a number of health problems and a fearful, uncertain demeanor. All of her health issues have been fixed and she's now an active, happy dog. She's been in foster care for about six weeks and has become more confident and trusting. She's great with children and other dogs. Still a little wary of men but not a serious problem. She's housebroken and knows her basic commands. Her foster parents report that she's a delight to one and all.

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
