Cougar's Story...
Vivacious, affectionate, and playful Golden Tabby…

Like the totem spirit of the cougar, our Cougar is highly intelligent and is a master of communication. As soon as you enter her cat community room, she lets you know that she is ready to spend time with you. Pets, interactive play, conversation or just hanging out together all rate high with this lovely girl.

Cougar absolutely loves people (and dogs) and enjoys their company over that of other cats. For the most part she tolerates her feline roommates, but would prefer a canine companion over a feline one. And if you choose her, you will be rewarded with a loyal, attentive and interactive feline companion.

Are you looking for a vivacious, affectionate, and playful cat to complete your life? If you are then Cougar may be the purrfect cat for you!

You can meet Cougar at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. The facility is open daily between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except major holidays) and is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Cougar, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or Cat Adoption Applications may be completed online.

If you have any questions, please call Bob at 619-840-9727.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cougar, a Coronado Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
