Daisy (Spayed)'s Story...
"Daisy" is a cute 3-year old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on March 14, 2014 (and no.. that is not a typographical error) :( "Daisy" was only one-year old at that time and has spent most of her life in our shelter (which we will explain). "Daisy" has a brown short smooth coat in a spotted tabby pattern, a long tail, and a pretty face with a rather mischievous expression. She gives the impression that she is up to some mischief and usually does not disappoint us :) "Daisy" spent her first three months in a cage in our shelter, and she was not happy being behind bars. She was elevated to the status of 'Shelter Mascot Kitty' on June 11, 2014 and has enjoyed free-roaming privileges for over two years. "Daisy" has a bit of a cat-i-tude and has personality plus! She has become a favorite of our kennel techs and volunteers who have grown to love her quirky traits. "Daisy" is quite playful and loves feathery teaser toys, balls, and anything that sparkles and dangles. She LOVED Christmas-time at the shelter and was the self-appointed tree- and gift inspector. "Daisy" unexpectedly lost her status as 'Shelter Mascot Kitty' and her freedom on August 4, 2016 when it was decided that she and other mascot kitties would be placed up for adoption. "Daisy" is currently making her home in one of the cat towers in our lobby where she is hoping someone will offer her a chance for a home whee she will once again have her freedom. "Daisy" was spayed on April 18, 2014. She isn't a very large girl and weighs perhaps 7-8 lbs. Her adoption fee would be $20 with an approved adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy (Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
