Z is one of our staff and volunteers' all-time favorites! He's a beautiful, purebred Rottweiler who is looking for an experienced dog owner to give him the happy home he dreams of. Z loves people and is accustomed to living with people. He should be the only dog in the household, and probably would prefer a home without small children, because he's a big guy at about 90 pounds. Our volunteer dog walkers love him because of his wonderful personality. He's very intelligent and affectionate, and he's always genuinely happy to see you. He's housetrained, about 8 years old, heartworm-negative and already neutered. His eyes won't produce tears, so he will require 'artificial tears' eyedrops, which are inexpensive and available at pharmacies. He also is arthritic and a daily medication helps him feel better. Z is hoping for a dog lover who's experienced with the breed, and looking for a best friend who's loyal, faithful and true. Z says he's the dog for you! Please watch his video and then come on over, shake his hand and get to know handsome Z!
The adoption fee helps in covering the medical treatment that has been completed. This includes the cost of the spay or neuter, testing for HW, HW preventative, rabies vaccination, wormings, annual vaccination, and flea and tick treatments. If you are interested in adopting this pet, first visit our home page, www.nassauhumanesociety.com to complete the adoption application, view hours of operation, see other pets available or just to get directions to the shelter. You can email or fax the application to the shelter. If you have other questions you can call the shelter at 904-321-1647 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We cannot hold a pet for adoption; therefore if you plan on traveling to the shelter please call before you leave to assure the pet you are traveling to see will be there. Some of our pets are in a foster care home with a volunteer and if you wish to meet those pets an appointment will need to be made. Thank you for considering one of our shelter pets for adoption.
