Joe came to Longmeadow from another rescue. We are honored to help him find his forever home. Joe is part of a driving team with John. They are available for adoption only as a pair. Joe and John are both extremely easy donkeys. They stand for flyspray, the farrier and they even like it when you touch their ears. These boys can be shy initially when catching them in the lot but they are not hard to catch.

They both are the same age and we think they have been together their whole lives. They pull a cart as a team and they are AWESOME! These two stood like statues for putting the harness on and hooking up to the cart. They knew more about what to do then we did!

We think they would be appropriate for someone looking to learn how to drive a team but also a lot of fun for an experienced person. They are very strong and considered large miniature donkeys. During the summer they will need regular applications of fly spray or other fly prevention. Just like other donkeys the flies can create sores on their legs and ears. They should be kept on a dry lot or with very limited grazing in order to prevent them from becoming overweight.

These boys are not going to last long. They are very deserving of a family of their own.

Adoption fee for the pair: $1200
