My name is Miriam, but my mama calls me Mimi. I was not able to live with my parents and ended up in a scary shelter – then MRC took me in and my life has gotten a whole lot better. I am an 11 pound Maltese mix. I’m 10 years young and have the cutest under bite and great big eyes. I’m very independent and I love take naps. I would do best without small children and would love to be by your side. If you are interested in adopting me? Please go to and submit an adoption application. MRC would love to give me a new furever home.

Our Adoption Process...

When a rescue Maltese is ready adoption, each dog is listed on and Prospective adoptive persons submit an adoption application. The person is interviewed and references are checked. Prior to approving an adoption, a home visit is done to determine if the home provides a safe environment for a rescue Maltese.

An adoption fee is paid at the time of adoption. Adoption fees and donations are the sole financial source for payment of medical care for all of our rescue dogs.
