Hi, there! My name is ARCTIC. I’ll give you 3 guesses WHY. What’s your name? Nice to meet ya!

Hey! Before you get too attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK?

I am a 5-year old Shepherd/Great Pyrenees, and I weigh 60 pounds. I am up to date on all my vaccines and I’ve been spayed. YIKES!
If I could tell you, I’d let you know what kind of life I’ve had so far but, starting NOW, I want a good home with lots of love and good, premium food! I hope that’s not asking for too much. Is it?

It would be SO nice for me to have lots of room to play, run and romp. I am very easy-going. I like to explore outdoors and I LOVE getting lots of attention from my peeps. I’ll give back lots of love to you when I get to your house! (UH, just to reiterate, let’s call it “our” house, OK?) Please send my current peeps an email so that I can hurry up and join you!

Wanna hear more good stuff about me? OK, here goes. I am a happy girl. I like to play and give and receive attention but I don’t mind some down time with a little nap now and then. When we want to be calm and cuddle, I can do that, too. I want to be your best buddy. What do ya say, huh?

My foster family loves me SO much that they only want me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email and she can get me on my way to my new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, neutering, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting for Special Pals, a 501c3 in Houston, TX.)

About A Better Life - Columbus

About Our Rescue Group...

Our only purpose is to match dogs, (that would otherwise die on the streets of Houston or be euthanized at a "shelter",) with the most appropriate adopter and give each dog a chance at life that they would not have had.

Our Adoption Process...

If interested in a particular dog, we ask you to fill out an application. The application is thoroughly evaluated and calls are made to your vet. We check property tax records to be sure the address that is provided matches the tax records. If you rent, we check with your landlord. When approved and the adoption fee is paid and the adoption contract is signed, we make arrangements to have your new family member transported to you.
