My name, Carob, goes well with my beautiful dark coat that has a unique swirling pattern. My cousin, Saffron and I are the only kittens remaining from our litters--our siblings have been adopted!  We are a great group of kittens and were taken in when our colonies went through Trap/Neuter/Return. That means we are the last kittens our moms and dads will have!

Out of all the kittens, I play the most aggressively. I've never seen a toy I didn't like to attack. I love to watch the birds right outside our windows (my foster mom put up a finch feeder outside a window by a kitty tree). I have become a real lap cat, and love to be in my foster mom's lap especially in the morning. It is wonderful to give soft love bites and let her pet me.

You can see me playing with my foster siblings in the following videos:   My best friend and cousin, Saffron, and I are playing in a box having a good time. You can see both of our faces in this one. We were about 7 and 7.5 months old here.   At the beginning, I am playing with Saffron. Then you will see my older foster brother, Sundance watching us. Anise (Neesi) and Bess like the birdcage. Then we run (you will hear Neesi).    First you will see me on top of a kitty tree with my cousin, Saffron in the middle. I run down and up the stairs with Neesi at the bottom of the stairs. She doesn't want to come up with my foster mom taking pictures, but you get to see how pretty she is.    At the beginning, you will see Saffron run up stairs and into the living room, then back out as I run in. Neesi will come from behind a chair and you can hear her trill. Bess follows Neesi out and stands looking around.

As I have gotten older, I have mellowed. I like our beagle, my foster siblings, and my cousin Saffron. While I would be happiest to go into a house with another cat, I might do okay as an only cat. But I would need to have attention and lots of love. Otherwise, I would be happy to be adopted with Saffron!

It is our mission to 1) help people keep their pets through guidance, non-monetary support, and education, 2) provide a service to find the perfect home for homeless, transient, and transitional domestic animals, and 3) provide a limited foster home structure for abandoned domestic animals.

Our Adoption Process...

A potential adopter must complete an application. It will be sent to the Board of Directors for approval. Upon approval, a home visit is done (either with or without the animal(s)). If all goes well, the animal will stay at the home. There is a two-week probationary period where either the adoptive parents or the foster parents can determine the animal should not stay. If this happens during the two weeks, adoption fees are returned. At the time of the adoption, a contract is signed. The adopter is given a full medical history, microchip information, etc. If applicable, a microchip transfer fee will be attained. The adoption fee for a kitten is $75. Any additional kitten is $25. A cat (1 - 6 years) is $40. Additional cat (1 - 6 years) is $20. Senior cats (7 and above) are $20. Puppies (up to 1 year) are $250. Dogs (1 - 6 years) are $150. Senior dogs (7 and above) are $100. Tax of 5% will be added to all adoptions within the state of Wisconsin.
