Meet Bree and Basil! These gorgeous beaglador puppies have been in foster care far too long. They were born to an owner who did not take the responsibility to get their mom spayed and then wanted the easy way out by taking them to the shelter. Luckily, a wonderful foster and rescue group stepped in. Their brother and sister have been adopted, while ago but these two beautiful girls are still waiting for the perfect home. They are a little shy but so deserving of a real home. All it will take is a little love and reassurance and they will make the most wonderful and loyal family members. Would you consider providing them a forever or even foster home?

10/7/16 - Meet Basil!
Basil was lucky and although she came from an unwanted litter, she has spent her life in foster care rather than in a shelter. She is now 6 months old and weighs about 30 pounds. She loves to run and play and her favorite things are bouncy balls or anything that makes noise. She is very sweet and playful but is still a little shy and craves human attention (especially belly rubs) Basil is ready to find her forever home.

The adoption fee of $425 includes age-appropriate vaccines, initial de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, USDA interstate health certificate (for transport only) and transport fee. Please go to our site for general information and the adoption application. fordogssakerescue.org. The application is the first step in all adoptions/inquiries. This is not a link; please type in into a new browser window. At this time, we are unable to adopt to Rhode Island residents. Please note: Pups marked “pending” are adopted but not yet traveled home. They are to be considered unavailable. Thank you. Additional information is available on our site fordogssakerescue.org.

About For Dogs Sake

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small, volunteer organized and run dog rescue. We work with shelters and rescue groups in AR & AL to find homes for their locally unwanted, but highly loveable puppies and dogs. The pups and dogs are brought to New England on transport once their vaccinations are up to date for travel. We are always in need of foster homes for our pups; the more we have, the more pups can be saved.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Appointments can be made to visit some pups at their foster homes at mutually convenient times for adopters and foster parents. (The pups are up for a visit anytime!)

Our Adoption Process...

We require the potential adopter to fill out an application form and tell us about what life would be like as a puppy at your house. The address to the adoption form can be found in the pups' bio. Once the application is received, we will check your references and then contact you for an informal "phone interview." If it is mutually determined to be a good match, an adoption contract is sent via email. Our adoption fee is stated in their bios, and is due at the time of adoption. A signed and dated adoption contract is due at puppy pick up.
