Peaches's Story...
Animal's name: Peaches Age (years): 7.5 Weight (pounds): 17 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Coat: Smooth Color: dark red Adoption fee: 150 Peaches is a very affectionate girl who wants nothing more than your company. She wants to sit next to you, sleep with you and just generally shadow you. She just really wants to be wherever you are so if you are home a lot and want a companion,Peaches is your girl!! Even if you arent home, she likes car rides too. She is fine with other dogs too, dont know about cats but I doubt she would be aggresssive to them - she just isnt like that. She lost her home when her elderly owner had to move in with relatives who didnt want another dog. She spent some time in the shelter and they liked her so much they asked us to find her a home. Peaches is mellow and easy going. She is a bit overweight which we are working on. Her needs are simple and she is undemanding and quiet. Just find her a couch and she is good. For more info or to apply to adopt Peaches, please go to and see her listing under available dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peaches, a Forest Ranch Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Forest Ranch, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Forest Ranch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forest Ranch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forest Ranch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forest Ranch paves the way for another one to be saved.
